How may we help you?

Overview
Since the implementation of Duo Single Sign-On (SSO), Salesforce no longer has an independent password. Instead, your Salesforce login is tied directly to your Metro password. This means that resetting your Salesforce password requires resetting your Metro password. This article will guide you through the process and address common issues users face.

Important Note
If you attempt to reset your Salesforce password using the old method, you may encounter issues logging in. Please follow the steps below to update your Metro password, which will automatically update your Salesforce password.

Step 1: Reset Your Metro Password
To reset your Metro password, follow the instructions provided here: Changing Your Metro Password.

Key Points to Remember:

  • One Password for All: Your Metro password is now used for Salesforce and other Metrofloors services.
  • Location-Specific Instructions: The method of updating your password will differ depending on whether you are in the office or working remotely. Be sure to choose the correct scenario before starting the password reset process.

Step 2: Log in to Salesforce Using Your Updated Metro Password

Once your Metro password has been updated, use this new password to log into Salesforce.

  • Username: Enter your Metro username preceded by mhf\. For example, if your username is bsmith, enter mhf\bsmith.
  • Password: Use the updated Metro password.

Common Issues and Resolutions

  1. Make sure you are using the login screen related to the Metrofloors domain: If you are logging in via browser, make sure you are using link: https://metrofloors.my.salesforce.com/. If you are logging on via mobile, please follow the instructions to set your domain via Salesforce here Logging Into Salesforce via Mobile App.
  2. Different Passwords for Metro and Salesforce: If you previously had different passwords for Metro and Salesforce, ensure you are now using your updated Metro password for Salesforce. The old Salesforce-specific password will no longer work.
  3. Using the Wrong Username Format: Make sure you are entering your username in the correct format (mhf\username). Do not use your Metrofloors email address as your username.
  4. Trouble Logging in After Password Reset: If you have recently reset your Metro password but are still having trouble logging into Salesforce, ensure you are using the correct username format and updated password. If problems persist, clearing the cache on your app or browser may help.
